Nik Svarc – Electric and Acoustic Guitars/Loops Steve Hanley - Drums/Shaker/Percussion Martin Longhawn – Organ/Wurlitzer/Piano Jazz rock fuelled riffs, ambient improv and a large dose of funk, 20/21 marks a return to the recording studio for Svarc Hanley Longhawn with an album of original music. Following on from their acclaimed 2nd album #2, the trio entered the studio in early 2020 after a busy 2019 touring the UK performing festivals and music venues. Since their formation in 2012 Svarc Hanley Longhawn have continued to blend their own mixture of melodic riffs, open improvisation and heavy effects and the new album 20/21 captures their performances at the very best quality. The album features 7 original tracks composed by the trio with the compositional emphasis on blending written material with improvisation and a layered sonic landscape. Influence from past and current masters of jazz, rock and funk are present yet Svarc Hanley Longhawn develop an originality in their approach which continues to evolve both in their live performances and on record.
